The Department of Athletics and Recreation invites applications for the contract position of Assistant Coach for Fleming’s Loggersports Team.
Reporting to the Head Coach and receiving functional guidance from the Athletics Coordinator, the Assistant Coach is responsible for duties assisting with the identified varsity sport program and our athletes.
Please Note: This is a temporary opportunity from August 26, 2024 - March 31, 2025.
The hours of work will be directly based upon the requirements of the team practice, competition schedules, identified team recruitment, promotion opportunities and events, but will not exceed 300 hours for the contract period.

What We Are Looking For:
- Secondary School Diploma
- Minimum National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), Learn to Train Certified or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience and proven competence as a coach including:
- Exceptional interpersonal, team building and communication skills
- Commitment to fair play
- Knowledge and association to Loggersports club, local sporting club systems and high schools is an asset
- This position will require a time commitment involving both evenings and weekends based on the CILA and Fleming Varsity schedule, identified exhibition games, required training, and events
- Current Police check with vulnerable sector check
